Cocker Connection is a Non-Profit rescue organization based in Los Angeles, California. We are dedicated to finding
homes for homeless, abandoned or unwanted Cocker Spaniels. Some of our dogs come to us from owners who can no longer
carefor their dogs for a variety of reasons. Sometimes, well-meaning
individuals will rescue a little Cocker Spaniel
running down the street, and will then call us. Other times, we will rescue dogs from the shelters in the
Los Angeles
area. Because of the high kill rate at several of our local shelters, we strongly encourage everyone interested in
adopting a Cocker Spaniel in the Southern California area to first check this website: Cocker Spaniels
in California
Shelters. You can save a life. Many Los Angeles shelters have Cocker Spaniels every week, and the rescue organizations
cannot save
them all. Please get the ID number of the shelter Cocker Spaniel you are
interested in, and call the shelter
to see if the Cocker Spaniel is still available.
Cocker Connection provides medical care, grooming, and boarding for the Cocker Spaniels that we rescue. Our Cocker
Spaniels are living in various homes and boarding facilities. We strive to place all rescued dogs into
foster homes
however, we are currently in need of fosters and have
several Cocker Spaniels boarded.
We are also in need of donations and funding to continue our efforts. It can be very costly to rescue Cocker Spaniels,
have them groomed and examined by a vet, treat any medical injuries or conditions, and then pay for their daily boarding if we do not have a foster home for them. Our
staff consists exclusively of volunteers and volunteer fosters. |
