Why foster?
Cocker Connection urgently needs foster homes. We currently rely on foster homes to provide safe interim shelter for the dogs. We have found that dogs who are kept in foster homes do much better emotionally than those boarded in a kennel. These dogs get affection, love and a warm bed. They thrive and grow in a home environment.

Does it cost me anything to Foster?
All expenses are paid for by Cocker Connection. We pay for all medical expenses. We also provide foster homes with dog beds, bowls, leashes, and nutritious food. You provide hugs & cuddles.

How long does Fostering last?
We typically ask foster families to keep their dogs anywhere from 2 weeks to 2 months. That is usually how long it takes for a dog to be adopted. Usually we work with the foster family to determine the length of time they comfortably sommit to fostering a dog.

What if I fall in love with my foster dog?
If you fall in love with your foster dog you can adopt it, of course. It happens frequently that families decide to keep their foster dog.
